On Tuesday Dec. 17, a new tradition was established at Berlin Cosmopolitan School: on the last school day before Christmas Break, the Berlin Cosmopolitan School’s community meets in the courtyard to sing Christmas Carols together. Mr. Cornies’s Secondary Christmas class opened this musical project with a splendid version of „Jingle Bells“. Students, parents and teachers assembled in the courtyard, joined in and created a lovely finale into the last day of school. Hopefully you’ll join us next year… Happy Holidays!
The Cosmovatorium at Berlin Cosmopolitan School is a school for performing arts committed to nurturing young artists from 3-18 years of age.
All BCS students benefit from our comprehensive music and dance classes where singing, playing an instrument, improvising, composing or developing various dance styles is encouraged in a manner that suits individual levels of interest and dedication. The academic programmes as well as the extracurricular afternoon programmes are both part of the Cosmovatorium.
All classes focus on the development of strong artistic skills. We not only want to inspire our students to discover their own ambitions, but also offer high quality lessons with professional teachers dedicated to the students’ artistic progress and their enjoyment of performing.
The Cosmovatorium programme, covers classical, ethnic and modern styles, includes individual and group lessons, early childhood music education, music understanding and ensembles (e.g. choir, string orchestra and ballet).
The Cosmovatorium is located in both buildings of the Berlin Cosmopolitan School in Berlin Mitte at Rückerstr. 9 and Invalidenstr. 130.
For school year 2014/15, two scholarships are available for those qualified enough to choose music in the IB Diploma Programme.
