17th November, 2017

Yesterday for the first time, our Primary School and our Gymnasium were honoured for their extraordinary commitment in the field of Mathematik, Informatik, Naturwissenschaft, and Technik (Maths, Information Technology, Science, and Technology) at the eco Verband der Internetwirtschaft (eco Association of the Internet Industry) in Berlin. In addition, the BCS Primary and Secondary School received an award for their innovative concepts in the field of digital education.

Ms Wende (School Principal), Mr Johnson (Head of Primary School), Mr Erk (Head of Secondary School), and Mr Weber (Natural Sciences Department) proudly accepted the award.

At yesterday’s ceremony, 13 Berlin schools were honoured as “Mint-friendly schools”. In addition and for the first time, four schools received an award as a “MINT-freundliche Schule Digitale Schule” (Mint-friendly school Digital School). We are therefore especially proud of being among these honourees. Our thanks go to all the teachers and staff of BCS, who work daily to ensure that the vision of the school is implemented in everyday school life. A special thanks goes to Ms Karl for working hard to write about the digital MINT focus of the BCS in a detailed application.
