Science Days 2018

The Science Days (this year January 10-12) are an annual event for grade 9 students to spend three full days preparing, designing, carry out and reporting on a scientific experiment. The students work in groups to develop their scientific skills and to nurture their inquisitiveness.

The aim is to give the students a much longer time frame than would normally be experienced in a 90 minute science class so that other skills such as careful planning, social group dynamics and perseverance can be properly developed. This year’s theme was Thermodynamics. The BCS science teachers, Dr. Šamalikova and Dr. Oates supervised the students for the three days.
