Grade 4 – Architecture (2014-15)

For the Architecture unit, pupils started with some drawing exercises to help differentiate important historic architectural styles. To help understand how architects 2d drawings can represent 3d buildings, simple 2d facades and plans were illustrated, cut out and folded to make small 3d houses. The floor plans developed by each pupil in the classroom were built up into 3d models of houses in the art class using cardboard and glue.
