Read onBerlin Cosmopolitan School celebrated the graduation of its Grade 10 students with a heartfelt ceremony marking the successful completion of lower secondary education.
Forty-four graduates representing ten nationalities came together to celebrate this important milestone before beginning the next chapter of their academic journey.
The ceremony was filled with meaningful moments of reflection and celebration.
Students shared thoughtful speeches about their experiences, challenges, friendships and personal growth throughout their years at BCS.
Performances of self-composed music and an emotional video retrospective created a memorable atmosphere and highlighted the strong sense of community within this graduating class.
Earlier that week, the students had presented their media-supported project work (mPA) in a dedicated exhibition.
Showcasing projects from Physics, Geography, Biology, History, Chemistry, Political Science, Information Technology and Economics, they demonstrated how interdisciplinary learning can be applied to explore complex issues of social relevance.
Their projects explored a remarkable range of contemporary topics.
These included the relationship between mental and physical health, genetic influences on human behaviour, the impact of artificial intelligence on artisanal perfumery, medical deepfakes and public trust in healthcare, aerodynamics, equal representation within the United Nations Security Council, nuclear energy and changing political perspectives, human adaptation to diverse natural environments, and financial literacy in the context of consumer behaviour and debt prevention.
With an average final grade of 2.1, the graduating class has every reason to be proud of its achievements.
Beyond academic success, the students demonstrated critical thinking, research skills, creativity and a strong willingness to engage with the challenges of an increasingly complex world.
Congratulations to all our graduates on reaching this important milestone.
We wish them every success as they continue their educational journey at Berlin Cosmopolitan School’s upper secondary programme and beyond.
