BCS Basketball Trip to Chile

Just before the easter vacation, Mr. Wehrmeyer and 12 students had a great time during their basketball trip to Chile!

The whole journey was a great success and a great adventure for everyone. The group went to Vina De Mar, which is on the coast. They visited the German School Valparaiso for five days, where the students stayed with host families. At the German School Valparaiso they have played a tournament against other local schools as well and joined some common training lessons with the students of the German School Valparaiso, all of them Chilean natives.

In Santiago, our students played basketball against Universidad Catolica and Colegio Aleman, and of course, they had many opportunities to train and communicate with the Chilean teams.  Mr. Wehrmeyer was particularly impressed: „Our exploration was fantastic and a very warm and welcoming journey from all sides. I’m happy to see how well the boys behaved and encountered the Chilean students. It was an excellent opportunity for all of us to meet and interact so far away from home.“

Chile is a fascinating country with many lovely people, and next to playing basketball, they had the opportunity to explore.  Thank you so much for making this happen!
