Secondary School Christmas Party in the Cafeteria

Berlin Cosmopolitan School Secondary students assembled in the cafeteria to celebrate their own little international Christmas Party right before Christmas Break. Many of the students took the opportunity to share their musicality with their class mates. Two of many highlights of this highly creative gathering were the grade 6 Ukulele performance and the a-capella/cup version of „Jingle Bell Rock“ performed by one of our Secondary Bands, “The Girlz“. Christmas Carols in Berlin Cosmopolitan School’s courtyard

On Tuesday Dec. 17, a new tradition was established at Berlin Cosmopolitan School: on the last school day before Christmas Break, the Berlin Cosmopolitan School's community meets in the courtyard to sing Christmas Carols together. Mr. Cornies's Secondary Christmas class opened this musical project with a splendid version of „Jingle Bells“. Berlin Cosmopolitan School music teacher at the Konzerthaus

Our music teacher and composer, Berthold Tuercke, composed music to some of the works of the German-Romanian recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature, Herta Müller. In a unique performance at the Konzerthaus, Berthold Tuercke who was accompanied by the "modern art ensemble" didn't want to miss the opportunity to declaim the text himself.
