With its fourth and final issue of the school year, The Cosmopolitan heads into the summer break by showcasing the creativity, curiosity and journalistic talent of our students. The End-of-Year Edition 2026 brings together a wide range of student-written articles, including features, opinion pieces, interviews, book recommendations, scientific articles and creative writing.
The edition explores topics that reach far beyond the classroom. Readers will discover articles on sustainable architecture, artificial sweeteners, robotics competitions, photography, literature and summer activities, alongside original short stories and thoughtful essays. The publication demonstrates an impressive variety of journalistic styles, combining well-researched reporting with reflective commentary and creative storytelling.
One of the highlights is the in-depth Teacher Spotlight featuring English teacher Forret Holmes, offering readers an engaging insight into his career, teaching philosophy and personal interests. Other articles cover developments within the school community, including the latest VEX Robotics challenges, reflecting the students’ enthusiasm for reporting on life at BCS.
