Gründerwoche in BCS

The Gründerwoche is a Germany-wide series of events organised by the Ministry of Economics. The purpose is to inspire people to consider entrepreneurship and to encourage them to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations. As part of this government-supported campaign, BCS is offering four events covering different aspects of enterprise and addressing students from Year 6 to 12. Those events include(d) a talk by women for women on Monday, 13th November, a Dragons’ Den competition all day on Tuesday, 14th November, a talk by the IHK on Thursday, 16th November and a visit and talk by Monsieur Vuong on Friday, 17th November.

So far, the events – organized by economics teacher, Ms Wakeford –  have been a huge success and a real enrichment to the students’ business education. We hope to make events like this a set fixture in our yearly calendar and look forward to developing enterprise within our school in the future.
