Cosmo Kids Shine at ALBA Berlin Grundschulliga Finals

What a season finale!
This past Saturday marked the thrilling conclusion of the ALBA Berlin Grundschulliga – Europe’s largest primary school basketball tournament – and our young Cosmo team (age group 2012–2015) truly left their mark on the court.
After a long and exciting season, our players stepped onto the hardwood of the Max-Schmeling-Halle with determination and heart. They won three intense games and battled their way into the final. In an unforgettable showdown, they fought fiercely and pushed the game into overtime – only to lose by the narrowest of margins: just one point. Of course, disappointment was written on many faces, but let’s be clear – this team gave it their all. They played with courage, spirit, and most of all, as a team. And that is what counts.
A big thank you goes to our dedicated coach, Oumar Sylla, whose work with our younger players is truly making a difference. And we’re incredibly grateful for the enthusiastic support of all the parents who cheered from the sidelines throughout the day. It takes a team on and off the court!
The ALBA Berlin Grundschulliga brought together 140 teams from 80 schools and around 1,600 children for the season finale – a record-breaking highlight of a tournament that involved over 2,300 kids across the entire season.
The final weekend wasn’t just about competition; it celebrated fair play, respect, and the joy of sport. We’re proud beyond words and already looking forward: Next year we go again – stronger than ever!
