Donation for Ukrainian Refugees

2nd March, 2022

Saturday evening, BCS Kindergarten & Preschool hosted a donation drive for refugees fleeing from Ukraine.  Our international community of educators, parents, carers, interns, teachers in training and most importantly, our children organized four large vans and two private cars full of donated goods.  After a few short messages, our entire community came together and donated countless amounts of goods in such a short amount of time.

Today, Wednesday, March 2nd, all goods are in route to the Polish border and we have been informed that our goods will be some of the first to arrive.  Later in the evening, all goods will be transferred to the Ukrainian border where Ukrainian busses will take the items to places where they are needed most.  The most essential items such as power banks, medications, hygiene products and food will be packed first followed by blankets, pillows and clothing.

To share a bit of insight, we had volunteers helping in this process who are working with us completing internships, refugees who fled Syria, families of Russian, Polish and Ukrainian heritage and beyond.  We couldn’t be more proud of our BCS Community as this is a true testament to our strength when we come together in unity.
