Holocaust Survivor visits BCS
History is made by those who live it and it is important to hear those voices before they are lost to us. On 30 November, within the framework of their history class, our Abitur class of Grades 11 and 12 were visited by a Holocaust survivor.
He volunteered to spend 2 hours telling the students about his life during the National Socialist regime and later in the German Democratic Republic. Our guest’s message was clear: ‘Never again!’ The students were deeply moved and will probably never forget this day for the rest of their lives.
