International College Day at BCS – Connecting Students with the World
Our School once again opened its doors to the world: this time to host for the first time the International College Day. More than twenty-five universities and institutions from across the globe joined us.
Students from Grades 8 to 12, their families, and teachers explored a wide range of study opportunities and connected directly with admissions representatives who had traveled from Europe, North America, Australia and beyond.
The day reflected the truly international spirit of our school. Among the institutions represented were the Paris College of Art from France, Stanford University from the United States, University College Absalon from Denmark, University of Pretoria (South Africa), the University of Southern Queensland from Australia, as well as Oxford Brookes University and Abertay University from the United Kingdom. Together with many other exhibitors, they offered our students first-hand insights into study programs, application processes, scholarships, and the realities of academic life at universities worldwide.
In addition to the fair itself, a series of talks enriched the program. Ute S. Strack from the US Embassy shared valuable information on opportunities in the United States, while Mads Øbro from University College Absalon introduced students to study options in Denmark. Chloé Tiozzo from Nottingham Trent University provided a closer look at higher education in the United Kingdom, rounding off a program of inspiring presentations that encouraged students to think globally about their academic futures.
Events such as International College Day are only possible thanks to the dedication of many individuals. Special thanks go to Dr. Martina Isabel Heinrich, who brought College Day to our school. We are equally grateful to Sophia Wende, our new Specialist for School Psychology and Counseling, who supported students and families throughout the day.
International College Day at BCS is more than just a fair. It is an invitation to build bridges across borders, to open doors to new perspectives, and to encourage students to step confidently into the world. We thank all exhibitors, partners, and supporters for making this day a success and look forward to continuing this journey together in the years ahead.
