First BCS Talk – a success!

Congratulations to our teachers Sven Wehrmeyer and Naira Hovannesjan, and those participating students – especially Nora, Hala, Lara and grade 10 – and assisting parents.

The talk organized by Mr. Wehrmeyer´s grade 10 ethics class focused on the current refugee situation. The hosts asked important questions to an impressive panel of invited guests, which entailed a Syrian refugee, mosque chairman Ender Cetin, and Journalist and author, Dr. Thomas Hasel.

The resulting discussion was very worthwhile and enlightening. Three quarters of the audience of about 60 people was students! Also, thanks to Hala’s mother who brought homemade falafels for everyone to enjoy after the talk.
