A Celebration of Talent and Vision: The Inauguration of the BCS Hall of Fame

On April 30th, 2025, Berlin Cosmopolitan School proudly inaugurated its Hall of Fame — a new tradition honoring the creative, intellectual, and artistic achievements of its student community. The event brought together students, parents, teachers, and special guests to celebrate the spirit of innovation, talent, and collaboration that defines BCS.
The ceremony opened with a warm welcome by Esther-Marie Merz, Head of Communication, who emphasized the power of community in bringing the Hall of Fame project to life. “Today’s celebration would not be possible without the vision of our School Founder, Yvonne Wende – and her determination to make it a reality,” she noted, highlighting the school’s dedication to holistic education where music, dance, sports, and the arts are essential parts of learning.

This commitment was further underscored by Yvonne Wende, Founder and Director of BCS, whose speech officially inaugurated the Hall of Fame. She spoke about the school’s mission to provide a space where young people can flourish both creatively and intellectually — encouraged by tradition and inspired by innovation.

The celebration featured a series of impressive and moving musical performances from Students from Grade 5 and 6 accompanied by Bridget Kinneary, Head of the Music Department. Each performance added vibrancy and emotion to the Red-Carpet stage and was met with enthusiastic applause.
Beyond the stage, guests explored a wide array of student exhibitions throughout the school:

3D art installations on the first floor by Primary students under the guidance of Mr. Hislop
Landscape paintings created by Grade 6 students
Grade 10 research and creative projects showcased

The celebration concluded with a gathering in the school forecourt, where the Cosmocookery team served delicious snacks and refreshments — rounding off a joyful event that truly reflected the vibrant and dynamic spirit of BCS.

The new Hall of Fame now stands as a lasting tribute to the achievements of the BCS community — and an open invitation to future generations to dream boldly, express themselves freely, and shape a more creative, inclusive, and inspired world.
