Berlin Cosmopolitan School (BCS) is an international, bilingual all-day school located in the heart of Berlin, with four campuses – two in Mitte, one at Müggelsee, and one in Prenden. As an accredited IB World School, it guides children and young people from kindergarten to the German Abitur or the International Baccalaureate in an environment that fosters empathy, responsibility, and creativity.

Learning in and with nature
A distinctive feature of BCS is the integration of nature pedagogy into everyday learning. At the Nature Campus Müggelsee and the Forest Campus Prenden, students learn in and with nature on a regular basis. Forest days, a school-owned weather station, and projects linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals make environmental awareness and sustainability a natural part of school life.
Inquiry-based learning and international perspectives
BCS stands for creative, transdisciplinary learning that encourages questioning, research, and independent thinking. An international team of teachers delivers around 50 percent of all subjects in English – a foundation for excellent academic results and global opportunities. As a “STEM-friendly” and “Digital School,” BCS combines scientific thinking with innovative learning formats – including a reflective approach to digitalization and artificial intelligence. Healthy food – fresh, sustainable, educational
With its in-house kitchen Berlin Cosmopolitan Cookery, BCS sets new standards for school catering. Fresh, balanced meals are prepared daily on site, using regional and seasonal ingredients, often organic. The concept combines enjoyment, sustainability, and education: children learn mindful eating, explore new flavors, and take responsibility for a healthy lifestyle. Shared meals strengthen communication and community – making the cafeteria a true heart of school life.
