BCS Abitur Students Attend World Premiere of the POLAR EXPERIENCE Exhibition in Berlin
The POLAR EXPERIENCE has reminded us emphatically that we are all jointly responsible for protecting our planet.
The Nature Campus Müggelsee is a dedicated place where nature becomes an extension of the classroom. Here, learning regularly moves beyond school walls, offering Primary students the opportunity to deepen their understanding through direct experiences in natural surroundings.
The Nature Campus provides a setting for observation, exploration, and inquiry-based learning. Through activities such as forest days, environmental projects, and hands-on experiences connected to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, students develop environmental awareness, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility. Nature at the Müggelsee is not a constant backdrop, but a recurring and intentional learning space that enriches everyday school life.

In this setting, students experience a bilingual curriculum that embraces cutting-edge digital technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), as part of the learning process. This combination equips students with forward-looking skills and fosters a deep appreciation of the natural world. The Nature E Seminar cultivates skills vital for the future by blending high digital standards with experiential learning in nature, encouraging innovative and sustainable thinking.
Catering and extracurricular clubs are available at each learning site. A daily transportation service connects the city campus in Mitte with the Nature Campus at Müggelsee, ensuring seamless integration of city and nature experiences. Our income-adjusted fees include transportation costs, ensuring that children travel comfortably to both learning locations each day.
Our educators regularly spend time with children in nature and have developed our concept for several age groups. In 2017, based on more than 15 years of experience, we founded our own forest school on our own piece of forest and published the concept in our own book “Waldtage” 2022.
Our forest school and nature school are schools for every age group. This can be done in different ways for example through outdoor lessons, horticulture or excursions to nearby and more distant nature.
Our nature school is compatible with the school and kindergarten because it is a way to connect the students, pre-school and kindergarten children with nature. This enables children and young people to learn more about nature and understand it better.
Learning in nature helps students, pre-school and kindergarten children in different ways. Firstly, they can understand and retain things better in nature because they learn with all their senses and because they also learn in a stress-free and pleasant environment.
In addition, our pupils, pre-school and kindergarten children build a positive and lasting relationship with the natural world through our nature school. They thus automatically know, appreciate, engage with and protect nature today and in the future.
