Successful graduation of the Abitur and IB Diploma graduates at the Berlin Cosmopolitan School
As the new school year begins, Berlin Cosmopolitan School (BCS) once again proudly looks back on the outstanding achievements of its 30 Abitur graduates and 13 IB Diploma graduates in 2024. These achievements are an inspiring starting signal for the next generation of learners and symbolise the commitment and excellence of our school.
The graduates achieved an impressive grade point average of 1.7 – six of them even with a 1.0 average. The graduates of the Diploma Programmes achieved a notable average of 35, with four of them even achieving almost 40 points. These outstanding results reflect not only the high academic standard of our school, but also the commitment and hard work of the students and the support of our qualified teaching staff.
This year’s graduation ceremony was a special highlight for students, teachers and parents. Students were honoured for their outstanding achievements and numerous prizes and awards were presented.
In her graduation speech, Kathrin Röschel, Head of School at our secondary school, reminded the audience that this year’s class has managed to maintain a focus on school education in the midst of challenges and global unrest in the safe and academically rigorous environment that BCS offers. This is especially true for the ‘Class of 2024’, as several graduates had to face language and cultural difficulties that they could neither foresee nor anticipate at the beginning of their schooling. Some of them were even forced to flee from hardship in their home country shortly before graduating. The school management gave them a farewell message of ‘Sapere aude!’ (Dare to be wise), along with the encouragement: ‘Keep asking questions, explore new ideas, don’t be satisfied with the status quo – and please dream big!’
Special thanks go to our dedicated teaching staff, whose continuous support and individualised guidance contributed significantly to the success of our students.
The Berlin Cosmopolitan School would like to once again congratulate all Abitur and IB Diploma graduates on their outstanding achievements and wish them every success in their future academic and professional endeavours.
