MSA
Students at BCS officially graduate from grade 10 with the German middle school degree - Mittlerer Schulabschluss (MSA).
The degree not only tests knowledge, but foremost the students’ skills that have been acquired over the years. The MSA consists of two parts. Firstly, the final grades of grade 10 will be taken into consideration. Secondly, a written examination will have to be taken.
Each student will have written examinations in German, maths and their first foreign language. During the examination of the first foreign language, a 15-minute oral examination will be included. A fourth optional subject examination must be taken and is organized as group testing and lasts between 10-20 minutes.
Students’ must pass both parts according to the specific requirements of the State of Berlin as they are crucial requirements when looking for a job or wanting to graduate with an International Diploma or German Abitur.
