A well-deserved reward! Last week the students from the Secondary French Club have taken the official French Language Diploma “DELF” (diplôme d’études en langue française), which they have prepared throughout the year during the French club. The DELF is a certification of French-language abilities for non-native speakers administered by the International Centre for French Studies. Results will be announced after two months, meanwhile the students can relax and enjoy typical French pastries at “Les Pâtisseries de Sébastien”.
A few days ago (June 18-19), the 8th grade students had a unique opportunity to work as scientists in the laboratories of Gläsernes Labor in Berlin. They participated in the intense Chemistry workshop dealing with different methods to extract essential oils, which they subsequently used to prepare their own perfumes. The Biology workshop offered a great occasion to learn plenty about blood and heart.
Our 6b Graders took part in “Aktionstag 2018-Weltverbesserer” organised by the association wirBERLIN e. V. to motivate people in Berlin “to take on more responsibility for their neighborhood, their green area, the playground – in short, the public space – and help make Berlin even more liveable and endearing”. Together with their class teacher Ms Müncheberg, Grade 6b took on responsibility for public spaces around the Berlin Cosmopolitan School on June 8.
