PYP

The Primary Years Programme provides an international pedagogical framework for children from the age of 3-12 years. It celebrates and nurtures the natural curiosity with which children investigate their world. Teachers provide an exciting and challenging learning environment in which childrens’ questions drive their inquiry. As a class, in groups and as individuals, they find answers to their questions. Our aim at BCS is to help children to develop skills, knowledge and attitudes, which make them life-long independent and enthusiastic learners.

We follow the "Berliner Bildungsprogramm" in all areas of learning. In the case of our 3-6 year olds, the "Berliner Bildungsprogramm" is taught through the PYP. All areas of learning are transdisciplinary, which means that they are linked together (to each other, to the Berliner Bildungsprogramm and the Primary Years Programme). Our children learn through structured play and inquiry.
