Afternoon Programme

Children can choose to take part in “afternoon activities” which take place after 3 pm. Usually they choose one or two per week, depending on their age. If they are not taking part in an afternoon activity on a particular day, they will have the option of playing outside or in our indoor play and movement area, which is fully equipped to support physical development. We currently offer the following afternoon activities:

Hopping Bunnies

Dancing, playing games, having fun, running and moving to music with our sport teacher, Annika Graf.

Ballet

Children learn to enjoy moving their bodies in response to classical music, in a fun and imaginative environment, with professional dance teacher, Anita Kreft.

Rough and Tumble

Skills are developed which lead to Judo, in the very well-equipped Franz-Mett Sport Halle, under the professional guidance of sports and Judo teacher, Reinhard Bunk.

Yoga

Children are able to relax and meditate as they tune into their own bodies and discover their own physicality, with Yoga teacher Mirian Lamberth.

English story telling

In a cosy environment, children can listen to some of their favorite stories being told by one of our own early years teachers, Raphael Noz. This course is recommended for children who need extra English support.

German story telling

Listening to well-loved stories in German, also with one of our teachers. Children who need extra German support should join this.

Sculpture

Modelling using clay, plasticine, dough, or old junk, this course is great for children who love to use their hands to create. It is run by professional art teacher, Nina Edmondson.

Drawing and Painting

Also run by Nina Edmondson, this course allows children to explore mark-making using a variety of different materials.

Chinese

Children become familiar with the sounds of the Chinese language and with the Chinese characters, through play-based creative activities. This course is run by Sylvia Liu-Raddatz and is recommended for children whose mother tongue is Chinese or who have had exposure to the Chinese language.
