Our 11 and 12 grade ‘Biology Leistungskurs’ students had a great opportunity to participate in the Day of Personalized Medicine on September 24th in Berlin. Many interactive exhibitions, workshops and lectures by internationally recognized scientists presented a current research on systemic medicine in Germany and emphasized an importance of personalized medicine for the future. In the workshop, students isolated…

…their own DNA from saliva under supervision of a scientist from the Glass Lab. Students had also the possibility of dissecting a chicken heart and to observe cancer cells under a light microscope.
