Over the weekend, students from Model Un Club participated in BERMUN 2, the annual Model United Nations (MUN) Conference here in Berlin at the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. Our students debated various topics relating to this year’s conference theme, “Advance Climate Action: The Key to a Sustainable Future.” Students in the Security Council, for example, debated how to deal with the situation in the Sahel region.
The 6 grade students enjoyed looking at ancient Roman artifacts at the Altes Museum on the Berlin Museum Island last Tuesday and Wednesday. The guide used the artefacts to tell stories about daily life in ancient Rome, which is part of the class’s current unit on how cities develop. On March 1st two teams of our school, BCS 1 (class 4-5 team) and BCS 2 (class 6) took part in the “District Round 2” in football. In the end, BCS 1 reached 6th and BCS 2 3rd place. Coach, Mr Conor Dower said afterwards: “Both teams played very well. They never gave up, which led to goals in the last minutes and exciting matches.” Well done, girls!
