Concept

The concept of BCS consists of eight significant pillars.

1. Individual Enhancement

Each child has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, therefore we develop individual curricula in order to encourage and challenge each student appropriately.

2. Family-like Surroundings

BCS is a small school with only 2 classes per grade and only 15-20 students per class, and therefore we are able to offer familiar surroundings in which children feel comfortable and safe.

3. Low-stress Learning

We create a learning environment where mistakes are part of the learning process and staff members consciously devise opportunities for success and motivation.

4. Effective Learning

BCS students learn for life – not just to the next test. In addition to acquiring skills, students focus on knowledge, questioning, challenging and real understanding of a subject matter.

5. Methodological Competence

Working and learning independently is a main focus in the BCS curriculum, so that each student develops his personal strategies on how to work best and most effective.

6. Interdisciplinary Thinking

At BCS we advocate interdisciplinary teaching, for students to be able to connect subject content with the wider world.

7. Many Learning Styles

Different learning styles and talents of BCS students are appreciated, all regarded of equal value and accounted for in lesson planning and delivery.

8. Communication Skills

Not only do we want our children to communicate effectively in different languages, but they should also be proficient in a variety of media.
